Everything you need to know about PortSwaps and our cheapest-fee cross-chain bridge swap protocol. Find optimization insights, security audits, and quick troubleshooting guides.
PortSwaps utilizes an advanced multi-chain liquidity aggregation routing engine. Instead of relying on a single static liquidity pool, we parse rates across multiple cross-chain protocols, liquidity providers, and gas-efficient routes in real time.
By optimizing smart contract calls and utilizing custom batching solutions, we reduce overall gas consumption by up to 40% and keep platform execution fees to a bare minimum. We automatically route your transactions through paths with the lowest liquidity provider fees and zero hidden markup.
A cross-chain bridge swap is a process that allows you to exchange one cryptocurrency token on a specific blockchain network (for example, ETH on Ethereum) directly for another token on a different blockchain (for example, USDC on Arbitrum) in a single transaction path.
Historically, doing this required three steps: swapping tokens on your source chain DEX, transferring those tokens to a generic blockchain bridge, and then performing a final swap on the destination chain. PortSwaps simplifies this by automating these operations behind the scenes, delivering final destination tokens to your wallet in minutes with minimal friction.
PortSwaps supports over 50 mainstream blockchains. Major networks include:
PortSwaps incorporates proprietary on-chain gas optimization mechanisms, which include:
Absolutely. Security is central to our bridging design. Our code has been completely audited by tier-one security auditors, CertiK and Quantstamp. Additionally:
Swap completion speeds are determined primarily by the finality speeds of the source and destination blockchains involved. On average:
You can track execution status in real-time within the app dashboard using our cross-chain transaction tracker.
We support swapping over 10,000 distinct tokens. This includes primary gas assets (ETH, SOL, AVAX, BNB), stablecoins (USDC, USDT, DAI, LUSD), wrapped derivatives (WBTC, WETH), and custom application tokens across ecosystems. The swap routing page queries local dex pools to allow swapping any token for another, even if directly unbridged.
No. We operate under a strict policy of 100% price transparency. When executing a cross-chain swap, all applicable fee items—including gas fees, relayer base costs, liquidity pool swaps, slippage impacts, and the minor PortSwaps utility fee—are computed and broken down line-by-line prior to transaction signature. You receive exactly the amount quote limits present on-screen.
To connect to the application, navigate to the web app dashboard and select the "Connect Wallet" button on the top right. We support a range of secure connection protocols:
In the highly rare event that your transaction fails on-chain (due to extreme network congestion or sudden slippage movements):

We are currently introducing a loyalty-focused ecosystem reward system designed for recurrent users. By completing cross-chain swaps, users accrue protocol points that lower gas rebate margins and qualify them for future premium community events. A native governance token roadmap is in detailed development.
While Stargate and Hop Protocol operate excellent fixed-route bridging pools, they are limited by their individual network liquidity constraints. PortSwaps operates as an aggregator.
This means we compare Stargate, Hop, Across, LayerZero, and other platforms on the fly, finding the cheapest fee for your specific token route automatically. Frequently, we route your transaction through the most cost-efficient components of these networks, while bypassing their expensive gas-heavy routing paths.
Slippage tolerance represents the maximum percentage of price deviation you are willing to accept during the duration of your cross-chain swap. Because asset values shift dynamically on DEX pools while your bridging transaction is finalized on the destination chain, setting slippage ensures you do not receive less value than expected.
If the final rate moves by more than your set tolerance (e.g., 0.5%), the transaction will automatically revert to protect your funds.
Currently, PortSwaps is optimized for ERC-20, SPL, and native token assets. However, cross-chain NFT bridging (allowing you to send collections seamlessly between Ethereum, Polygon, and Arbitrum) is in active staging and is set to launch in Q4 2026.
Upon submission of your transaction, the PortSwaps interface provides a real-time status tracker link. This tracker shows:
You can also paste your source chain transaction hash directly into our tracking explorer at any time to monitor its global status.
